The Scientist

Last day in town, and that guy you´ve only exchanged a few messages with now says he´s all about taking pictures. Even better, he has access to a very interesting research facility.
So we set sail… To the lab!
Thank you Daniel.

Between Earth and Sky

What do you do when you´re driving back home, after a long, busy day, and an almost full moon emerges from the sea in a beautiful night?

You find a small road towards the countryside, leave the busier one, and seize the moment…

Cities Backlight – Búzios

As years go by, the number of sites free from light pollution decreases dramatically. If you´ve been able to visit one of those sites, consider yourself blessed. In between those places and our cities, one can take advantage of their glow as a huge backlight device for landscape photography. Here´s another image of this series.

The Sky is Falling

Noronha

Fernando de Noronha is one of those remote places still virtually unknown internationally. A kind of iconic site, that lures the visitor with dreamscapes, it has brought both heaven and hell to those who attempted to settle along the centuries. Nowadays, arrival by both plane and boat is restricted to a small number of people per day, and the stay in the island to non habitants is taxed progressively, as to discourage long stays. In off peak seasons, it’s somewhat common to find a beach just for yourself for a while. At night, an eerie atmosphere may claim the whole place. Due to its isolation and the scarce light sources, being on a huge, deserted area, watching the stars actually reflect on the wet sand in a moonless night can be quite an experience.
