Cabeça de Boi

Parte das conversas que tive com Helder envolveram a idéia de encontro de forças e controle. De experimentar, literalmente, novas posturas diante dos outros. Em dado momento veio à conversa a imagem de um touro, um repositório de força; e da tensão em se domar, controlar ou represar essa força. Quando soube que ele estaria em Pirenópolis no fim de semana em que eu iria a Goiás, vieram imediatamente à mente as cabeças de boi que são parte do folclore de lá e que eu tanto amo. Depois de muito tentar, sem sucesso, conseguir uma cabeça dessas antes da viagem, acabou que o acaso providenciou uma através do próprio Helder, e aí pudemos pegar a estrada pra brincar um pouco com ela.

Part of the conversations I had with Helder dealt with the idea of clash of forces and control. Of experimenting, quite literally, new postures facing other people. In a certain moment the image of a bull came into the conversation, a repostory of strenght, and the tension of taming, controlling or restraining that power. When I heard that he would be in a town named Pirenopolis in the weekend I’d be in his state, it came immediately to mind the bull heads that are part of their folklore and that I so much love. After much (unsucessfully) trying to get one of those heads before the trip, in the end serendipity provided us one through Helder himself, and then we were able to hit the road and play a little with it…
